Buzzing noise inside 172

Whether it has been there alkl the time or whether i have just noticed it i dont know. When you start up ignition there seems to be a faint buzzing noise coming from passenger side foot compartment. It starts off quite low pitched, then gets higher pitched (but not really high pitched - if ya see wot i mean). It stays on all the time after this, but u cant hear it if radio or blowers are on...

anyone else noticed this?

Mine has a similier noise which goes away when warm and re-appears at about 80 on the motorway.

I think its down to two things

1. It resonating noise at a certian frequency at a certain speed because

2. its built by Renault and its french

You might as well have a look yourself as the garage will probably never trace the problem, goodluck!

Me thinks that might be the 4k rattle.

Do a search for it.

Yeah, I think it is called the engine.......
