Buzzing sound from under bonnet / tickover noise

Hi all,

I was out by the car tonight sorting a speaker issue and noticed that there was a persistent buzzing noise coming from inside the engine bay. I think the noise happens when the bonnet is open. However, the bonnet was definitely shut tight. I thought it may be because the car doors were open so I also made sure they were shut tight as well but the buzzing continued. When I knelt down by where the noise was coming from I could also hear something ticking over.

I was wondering if anyone knows what the noise could be? Is it a general noise or does it signal somethings wrong?
