At the moment i was looking at the Shell Station at Birchanger Services for a meeting point,as easy to get to for most i think.

Also South Mimms Starbucks is a good meeting point & opens at 6am for a coffee,just another option.

C&M seems to be busier than ever post-lockdown. Last time I arrived a few minutes into the afternoon slot and it was rammed.

I’ll be heading A303/A34 and then across to Banbury via the A/B roads north of Oxford as it’s a bit less tedious than M40.

I think with this weather also mate makes people there garage queen cars out,but we should aim to get there for 9am latest i think,if its a sunny week.

They also seem to have changed their approach to influencers and other stand out cars and are giving them priority position. I’m not massively fussed but ended up parked in a dusty field last time .

But it looks good for them on social media to have the more eye appealing cars there, which you can understand.

If it was full of "normal" cars, it wouldn't look so fancy.

Agree bud. I’m heading to Podium Place near me at the weekend - seems quite a cool hangout and only half an hour up the road. Despite being a shiny car freak I’m not overly bothered about being “seen” but I do get mildly pissed when I’m asked to park the shitty old Clio out of sight so the influencer driving Daddy’s supercar can get the attention they desperately crave 😂😂

In reality yes. The bonus is a lot of varied machinery usually on display. Worth a 3 hour trip? As a one-off maybe but it’s a long way to go.

Update on a couple of routes to choose & look at.Both include stopping at the BP Station in Towcester to meet a few others.

ROUTE 1

This route has been sorted by @plenty

Its 126Miles & 3hr 30mins

From Birchanger to Towcester 2hr 30mins/88miles.
Then 1hr & 38miles from there to C&M



3 hr 32 min (126 mi)

2hrs 27mins & 106 Miles

Birchanger to BP station at Towcester-1hr 36mins & 71miles

Then 48mins & 34 Miles from BP to C&M

Let me know your feedback please on either routes & we can choose one route or split off into to 2 groups.As i understand not all will want to do a long route etc.

ROUTE 2 Is a more easy going route with flowing A & B roads & bit of Motorway.

I only know the roads around my way, and with cars parked on the roads, junctions etc, it could make keeping a convoy together tricky on Route 1.
Route 2, less so.

Very true. If we have more than about eight cars then it’s quite possible people will get split up. We’ll just have to accept that.

Yep were bound to lose a few on route but were all heading to the same end place,each person will just have to have there google maps on etc so if lost can easily get on route to Caffeine & Machine.

Chieveley services looks like a likely first stop for people coming up the A34.

So update is that @plenty will most likely wont be able to attend now.

So we will go with Route 2 now.

Will work out meeting times etc soon.But it will be a early start & aiming to get to C&M for 9.

Since route two comes past my door. I’ll pick the convoy up here.
It won’t let me add a photo, ill edit in when it does.
But I’ll wait for you outside Shefford on the A507. Ill get an idea of the timings later I’m sure.

Please mate,i think the meet point discussed was the BP station on the A43 round about?.but upto you on where to meet us,have a look on the route & see whats best as you know the area better.

Also any idea of how long it takes from that point to C&M?.google is saying 45mins ish.
If so look to meet you at 8:00/8:15.
