caged 172 - whats is worth....

  Focus RS Mk1
Hi all, in relation to my thread the other week about staring a new project car, ive come to the conclusion that id like to use my current car as the project and just get another daily driver...

But my main concern is resale value of my 52 plate 172, on 35k, full service history and 100% mint condition.

If i were to have a fully caged up interior (custom cages multipoint) and pair of buckets, 100% stripped out etc! what is the likely resale value. simialr to what it would be standard or dramitclaly lower.

i know im narrowing the sale market down a lot by doing that kind of thing but if it reduces the value of the car dramitcally then i'll think twice.

P.S. i would have it pro fitted and painted.

Clios really arent selling as it is standard and low milage, taking out the interior, you will be cutting your potential market 95%...so regardless of what the cars value might be, it will be very hard to sell.

If you plan to keep the car for x amount of years then go ahead and do it, if you plan to sell then i wouldnt bother.
Saying all that though, why not keep out what you strip and then give yourself the option of returning to standard prior to selling?
