Cam belt and dephaser replacment.

Anyone know of any good places to replace my timing belt and dephaser pulley. Im from carmarthen south west wales . Cheers.

Birmingham is a hell of a way from West Wales lol.

Nearest place i know of is A.D.P. Look in the traders section for him. he is based your side of swansea..

theres a guy in Neath who changed my cambelt and dephaser for £100 and has done a fantastic job.

In . Hes a master tech at renault so he knows his stuff. Hes changing

Timing belt + tensioners
Aux belt
Dephaser pulley
Waterpump
Antifreeze
The lot . Anyone needs it done let me
Know as hes always available. Cheers

Umm, isn't the dephaser part alone over £100 to the trade?

He's probably taken your £100 to the dogs and done nothing...

I payed 170 for dephaser .

I dont think the £100 for labour is including the parts. £100 labour is about right assuming it was mates rates on a non A/C cup, your looking well over £500 for belts and dephaser on a 182 / 172 with A/C.

FYI dephaser is around £160.

Hey guys ive done sOme mOre research and thw hydraulic lifter came up a few times . How can i see if mine are okay. I know they would tapp. But if my dephaser is broken how can i tell the diffrence ?

very rare the lifters go, so much so i can't think i've ever seen any fail

Sorry i have not made this clear.

The guy in question changed my cambelt,aux belt (cup) dephaser and changed the oil for £100

I supplied the belt kit,aux belt oil and filter so his costs were just for labour
