your best bet mate is to pay for renault to do it, even though the price is high its worth it. my previous renault clio needed a cambelt change and i took it to an idependent dealer half the price! thought all was well until i noticed the belts were slipping and making funny noises! alot of other problems occured from this, and not all independent garages fix for free. Id pay renault dealership any day as they get it right all the time and if not have to fix it for free!
take it to a Renault specialist, 1700 I got quoted for my belt and service at Renault Romford, 500 at a Renault specialist who is well know and if not do a better job than Renault them self. I know who I'm going for
Karl, I've just driven from Durham to NWPerformance to get mine done. I spoke to a couple of independents up here and neither inspired me with confidence. One didn't seem to have the tools and the other changed prices each time I spoke to them and just kept telling me how they were the best by miles!!
It's not a bad ride down to NWP and they seem to have done a good job.
There's a place in Darlo, Andy Harland who may be worth a try if you don't fancy it, but personally I would avoid Renault up here. I was quoted £950 for belts and service, I got belts, service, rear dampers, rear discs and pads for a lot less than that at NWP.
yeah cheers oldie mate the guy from NWP inboxed me yesterday and gave me a quote which seem'd really decent to be fair and what reports Ive read on them they seem to offer a good service, how long does the job take to change out????
I was there all day but they were a man down so had to deal with people coming 'in off the street'
The ride down is about 2.5-3 hrs. I went Barnard Castle, M6 way (far better roads)
While am on do you know of any good local companies that will do dents and dings, I have a few things I need put right on my car just to make it look that wee bit better!!!
I had my bonnet done recently at C & C Coachworks in Chester-le-Street. I would really like to say they did an excellent job, which they did, but only after I took it back. For dents and dings nobody I could recommend, sorry.
