Cam Belt????

I would really appreciate some advice...

My 182 is 5 years old this year and I have done 26k miles. I have been told that I need to get the cam belt done this year but my local renault dealer has quoted me £650 to do this!!!!!

Should I get this done with the main dealer or does anyone know of a reliable/trustworthy garage in Surrey where I can get it done???

JMS are in Uxbridge which is a nightmare for me to get to (driving accross London is a mission) but thanks for the tip anyway.

Im in Croydon if thats any help?

any renault specialist in the area should do it cheaper.

I have been told that there is a Renault specialist in Bromley called Harringtons. But would like to know what there like before I book my car in there.

Anyone got any other reputable places in mind?

you will be able to get it done for under 500 no problems... just use a renault sport specialist. i would make the trip to JMS even if it is a bit of a pig journey! get the aux belt done too for that price!

Give these chaps a call, they will come to you to do it.

I got my belts done by them a few months back, great service, with warranty. The chap who fitted mine for me had worked for renault before so had plenty of experience, did the job quite quickly. Price was £350+ VAT IIRC

both worked for Renault main dealer for years, one of them is a RTE (renault technical expert) too.
