HELLO!
well.......
where to start....LOL
to make it simple, i would choose your cam wisely. Most people go too wild then decide it wasnt such a good idea. So, choose the one you want, then go for the one below it. If you really want to go bonkers, some cams with high lift will require solid lifters to replace the hydraulic ones. If you do this, the clearances will need to be adj whilst your getting the cam installed..and its a timely process.
anyway, bring all your bits to a tunners near you. And operation with a decent RR and knowledegable people will be fine.
They will need the car and your bits for a few days if they are busy and they will install teh cams and adj pulleys. Then they time the cams in using the specs that came with it. BUT, if they are any good, they will do power runs to setup teh cam to its optimum, by trial and error, they will try advancing and retarding each cam to find the best power....if they dont do this, then they are a bit lazy.
Then, they will remap whilst on the RR, if they dont have the ability to, talk to Nick Hill about one of his chips to suit. Or go up there and get it done....but itll be easier if the company can do it all at the same time.
RE ported parts.....
a set of worked manifolds, the Ktek or supersprint manifold or indeed a worked head will lead to more power indefinately. PM me for details.
happy camping!
