p.s what is the average cost?

  It's A Reno
I don't know if there are any Reno specialists in central Scotland, so you may have to travel a little. It will need the aux. belt etc doing too I imagine.
What model is it?

Get a few quotes from Renault dealers. Prices seem to be picked out of a hat so shop about.

Try and avoid back street garages. Very few folk seem to be able to time these up right through what ever reason.

Kenny Brown is in Hillington but not heard anything good or bad to comment. I too am looking for someone local failing which I will bite the bullet and buy the timing tools.

If you're taking it to the stealers avoid the Arnold Clark Renault in Paisley

Me? Yeah, original quote was pretty decent which is why I took it there but half way through the job I get a call saying the quote was wrong and it would cost £x more!

Also ended up having to take an extra day off work so I could collect it the next day cause they took so long. They did leave their spanner in my engine bay though, thought that was nice of them to give me a freebie lol

Hunners of people have used SWR mate they seem to do these frequently!

I'd have no problem using them whatsoever tbh
