Cambelt change in the south west...??

Hi could anyone recomend a good garage to do the cambelt of my 172 cup?? It was done at 36,000 a few years ago but I believe it needs to be done at 72k?

I have read a few horror stories about when "cowboy" garages do this service so any recomendations would be great.

I think K-tec are near you? I would offer to do it as i have the correct Renault cam and crank locking tools and have just done my belt on my ph1 172 (worked on Aston Martins for over 12 years) but i am in Essex so not alot of good to you.

You have been a lot of good!! Ktec is in Dorset which is a lot closer than Birchdown the place I was thinking of taking the car.... Just checked the price and it's not to bad 290 plus vat. I have a mate who has serviced every car I have ever owned and he his very highly rated where i come from but Im just worried about the "correct tools" thing..

Im near exeter and will happly do it for you (renault tech) if your up for traveling.

Rentech or Ktec are the best bets, I would recommend getting your Tensioners, Auxillary belt and Water pump done at the same time, no point just getting the Timing Belt done alone, I think Ktec charge around £550 inc vat. for all of that to be done, it's what I did anyway and the 172 was a lot better for it. I see you have a Cup so will be more around the £420 mark inc vat.
