cambelt changed- problems!

iv just had the cambelt on my new car changed, its had a full cambelt and water pump kit.

all belts and tensioners and the water pump its self have been changed.

now when the engine is on and revved theres a real whining noise which is fairly loud, although i dont think the cambelt is too tight.

the car is a 2003 saxo vts

that'll be a dodgy tensior pulley i would think, mine did that when i couldn't be bothered to buy a new one, so i left the old one on and it started making a noise

hmm, which bit is that? apparently its had everything new? is that a belt of some sort! sorry not sure!

Take it back to get them to double check it ASAP , not the kind of thing you want to leave to break!

yeh will be getting sorted soon.

just been told the tensioner pulley has been changed.

i think the belt must just be far too tight!
