Cambelt/dephaser

Hi,

Anybody know of a good garage in Ipswich/Suffolk area? Dont fancy taking it to Renault for near on £900!

Cambelt got done at 52k but dephaser pulley wasnt changed.

Car has now done 70001 miles and i want to get it done!

Is the dephaser making a noise?

Very slight noise! Hardly noticeable only hear it when sitting in car windows up and listen for it. With bonet up you cant really hear it which i find weird!
Im paranoid so as i got the money want to get it all done.

bedford is about 80-90 miles up road! Anything closer?

I'd rather travel to a specialist than take it to a generic garage down the road.

Same, from what i heard the extra £150 saves you £0000's in long run! Jus wondering if anything closer to home due to my shifts.

You asked for your closest specialist, 519 are your closest. How far are you from Staines? There's MWMotorsport there.

80 miles is nothing for peace of mind. It's either 80 miles drive, pay renault £900 (and run the risk of them fcuking it up) or take it a back street garage who won't have the correct genuine timing/locking tools and the car will run 20bhp down.

Bedford will be quicker and easier to get to from ipswich.
ill be taking it there soon.
