Cambelt issues!

Never really posted on here but i've got a couple of quick questions that i think i already know the answers too.
just had my cambelt and aux belt change by a local renault specialist and now its running like a pig!! It feels guttless at the top end of the revs and idles all over the place. Some times it'll tick over at normal speeds but other time its like 1200 rpm or others 600 so im guessing the timings out? Also they havn't changed the tensioner on the aux belt! Is this one of the parts that should be changed with the rest of it or is it ok left as it is.

The tensioner should be changed, along with ALL the parts it comes with.

Who was the renault specialist that changed it? And where are you located?

Cheers for that pretty much what i guessed and i don't really want to name them till they've had chance to put things right! But located in leeds.

Yes tensioner SHOULD be changed

Name and shame, a Renault specialist would 100% know a kit would be needed not just the belt, let alone the whole auxiliary setup replacing.

I'll name and shame if its not sorted when it goes back in at the end of the week! Dose the lack of power and eratic idle sound like it could be cam timing issues or could it be some thing else?

Erratic idle could be the inlets not refitted correctly

Would that explain the the flat power after 5k revs too

Pretty much what i guessed then! They've been spot on so far and just said get it back down and they'll sort it. I havn't said any thing to them about the tensionor yet but i'll do that in person when i drop it off. Thanks for your help

Clearly none of the specialists on this forum.... Have they worked on an F4R with VVT before?

Its no one i've seen pop up really on this forum all though now i've serched i can find a couple of bits about them! They claim to specialise in the renault sport and there was a few others there while i was there.
