Cambelt query

Hey all, bit of a cambelt related quandry which hopefully you will be able to help me with. The car is currently on about 68k, it had a aux belt change at 36k and then a full cam change at 46k. Do I need to do the aux belt again at 72k or can I wait until I have the cam belts changed at 82k and do them both at the same time??

I would do both at 72k. Speaking from experience of a belt failure always get the belts done a bit earlier than the stated interval imo.

Yeah i thought as much, just money though! cheaper than the consequences of not doing them though!

you need to look at time aswell as miles. aux is every 3 years of 36k, whichever is first, cambelt is every 5 years, or 72k whichever comes first.

I would assume the aux belt was changed at 46k anyway to be honest, it should have been done again at the same time as the cambelt
