Cambelt / rough running

Apologies if this is a stupid question but I'm not the best mechanic lol.

Does changing the cambelt / depahser etc Improve the running esp at idle?? I've had my 182 fully serviced, changed injectors, coil pack , tdc sensor, maf sensor, and still idles crap!! Hope I get some decent help/ advice !! Cheers!

They all idle a little bit rough, especially first thing on a morning/when cold

Is it shaking the car bad or just a bit annoying

Next try cleaning throttle body and checking/changing the spark plugs to see if they are the correct NGK plugs

Mine is lumpy. I've changed the leads and thermostat, the latter to rectify the temp gauge. Seems better

I've heard there lumpy, but now it's getting worse, and its not a constant thing with the vibrations more up and down, making me shake in the seat lol ps never had cambelt done or asked for It doing??? Must be someone else, I was curious if getting it done could resolve it??

Oh and I changed plugs around a month ago, can't 100% remember what type, they weren't cheap ones tho

If timing is out then it will run rough mate or if its been done not very well before. Best thing to do mate is take it to someone. Where are you based?

My geography is crap lol but I'd take a drive over too Birchdown in Cheshire. In on my third Clio and the ones before had the belts done allready. My new car is due on age and will be getting it done soon, by Birchdown.

Rs tunning is a winner mate. Why do I keep coming back? Great fun to drive, generally reliable, cheap to buy and pound for pound they are hard to better

Well that's why I bought it, needed summet quickly after leaving mrs, and had heard good things. Sort of love it but just want it to be right, I've thrown money at it so far, which I don't mind if I get the performance I've heard so much about

What car did you have before? Unless you spend big money your big money your not going to get big increases. My advice concentrate on handling and brakes

Had a vectra as the family car and a Mini Cooper s as the bit of fun. Things got nasty wi ex and they wa both in her name lol so had to buy summet cheap ish and quick ish. I've mainly spent it refreshing / replacing parts. Only performance stuff wa a k and n panel filter and a stainless exhaust with decat pipe.
