Cambelt Update

hey guys, for those of you who read my post my cambelt had gone 2 weeks ago, thought id give an update

had all the work done, new head gasket, oil filter, plugs, cambelt (obviously) lol and i smashed 8 valves

all in was £863

what you reckon to the price??

thats not too bad if the new belt has been timed up properly etc who done the work?

its a 51 plate bud

car seems to be running extra sweet now, was well over due a service he told me

just a local mechanic, always use him, the 1st bloke who took it when i broke down said at least £1300, so im pretty happy

Good news, Seems cheap for whats been done. Glad its all working again, Need to get my cambelt booked in. Dont want it snapping on me!.

Mate of mine (renault mechanic) just said he'll fit the kits for me for £80 if i buy all the parts

i think thats a good price. my brother had 16 valves go on his ph1 172 and it cost him £1200.

had my cambelt and aux belt changed today for £525

GDI, k-tec, local renault stealership etc etc

Think the kit is about £150... does he have the timing tools?
