Cambelts

  LY R26 #288
I've seen a 182 I like from a dealer. fsh, 50k mileage 2004 model.

However although the service book is upto date there is no paperwork about the cambelt being done.

What is the situation with this? I'm sure I read the cambelt should be done at 75k or 5 years?.

The car is up for 3800.

If I had to have the cambelt done, how much would I be looking at?.

Should of had the cambelt done last year! and if there are no receipts then take it that it NEEDS to be done. If its a tidy example then knock them down on price and get the belts done straight away! sounds reasonable for a 182 tbh. BELTS ARE A MUST

FULL Cambelt and Aux belt change inc service your looking between £500 - £600

Just rang the guy and asked if he would adjust the price and he said that if i wanted the car and put a deposit down subject to them doing it, they would do.

Where is the car mate? Im in sussex too.

Its all very well them doing it aslong as they have the correct timing tools! plenty of garages screw them up so beware.
