had a four wheel alignment done and found my camber to be the cause of my un-even tyre wear and just wondered if there was anything to set the camber to normal after lowering?
Same thing happened when I fitted my FK coilovers, forced me to run 2.5 degrees negative camber. Corrected using camber adjustment bolts by supertracker which were cheapest and now run 1.5 degrees negatiove which is more acceptable.
Lowering puts more strain on Driveshafts and makes you run negative camber.
I've no problems on my car coilovers etc should take account of this and be designed to bring camber inline correctly.
Lowering doesn't put more load on the driveshafts or make you run negative camber though driveshafts can get damaged yes but not down to the lower.
You will find with most cars that when u alter the suspension/wheels from the manufacturers design you will cause some changes to camber angles etc. normally lowering a car does cause the camber angle to be altered. As already suggested it can be improved. Also a good idea is to have the four wheels laser aligned front to back etc.
If u want to know more read MaxPower Haynes manual for the clio.
