Can anyone do online databases using ASP?

I have to do a search function for a website and haven't done one before. I have used example code from the web and its just not picking up the database! What the hell am I doing wrong!!

It needs to be kinda like this.

Can anyone help or recommend a good tutorial!

And use PHP if you can.. platform independant, very powerfull and much cooler..

The error was something about the ODBC I think. I've changed the page that much now it just doesn't work at all!

I've never even looked at PHP... Could I pick up enough of it to do a search like I said in the first message?
