ive fitted numerous sound systems to lotsa diff car but i cnt find where to run the power cabke through from the battery to the inside of the car! i have a ph 1 172 btw.

get ur drill out an drill a hole! never sin inside a bonnet of a 172 so not a clue lol but id say drill a hole.

nah id prefer not to just drill a hole! there will be a rubber plug sumwhere all cars have them its just findin it behind all that bloody heat matt

i had a sound sytem in my 1.2 and there was a rubber gromit low down on the drivers side near the pedal iirc i used that.

there a ruder gromit in the passenger foot wekll that the bonet release go throuhtg , and it comes out behind the power steering fuid bottel which you have to pop out to get to the whole , there is a guide on here some where , if you need any pics or help let me know

Run it down the Passenger Wing, and into the car thats how mine is done and never any problems,

omg dont run it through the wing! that is a total bodge and just pure lazyness! there is a gromitup under the glove box, quite hard to see but thats were it should be done. not through the wing:)

lol at through the wing,although ive seen worse,out through passenger door to outside of car to under bonnet to battery :rolleyes:

Thats where i want to try and bring my cables through for my oil pressure and temp gauges :)

But cant seem to see grommet :(, has anyone got pics of it ?

yo D1CKY i sent you a mail bout the tomtom on the n73.

regarding the gromit get your head rite under the glove box to the left a bit and you should see it, if not look in the right hand side of the engine bay, get a bright torch and it is there trust me.
