Can anyone recommend a decent FM transmitter please?

  Lotus Elise 111R
My wife has a pre-latest generation Nano Ipod (fifth generation I think) which she wants to play in the car, however her OE headunit does not have any form of input, a 2007 Vauxhall Zafira, fitted with a CD30 stereo.

We are looking for a FM transmitter that plugs into the 12v plug which ideally has a set frequency, so that she can get in the car everytime and just set it to one of the presets and then just choose a song on the ipod.

There seem to be a lot of different variations around, just wondered if any were of any particularly better standard, or if anyone knows of a better way to do it!

What is their quality like generally? Better or at least as good as radio reception.

Thanx.

I would steer well clear of the FM transmitter, i have been using one in my HGV, you will be constantly altering the frequency on the unit because of interference.

I think that the CD30 HU on 2007 onwards cars has AUX-in capability, by either connecting up a short loom with a 3.5mm socket on one end to a wiring plug already installed behind the dash or by use of a adapter that fits into the CDC port, take it to a Vauxhall dealer and ask them which you have
