can feel knocking when i put my hand on track rod inner

guys been having a problem with this knocking noise from my driverside suspension had a play last night and when i put my hand on the track rod inner i can feel the knocking noise through that
would this be the cul prate as i9 have recently had these done could have not been done properly or would it be my rack ?

my friend replaced them before Christmas the do look fairly clean but tbh it's hard to tell atm cz I do have a oil leak
