Can fitting a crank key by mistake cause problem?????

Someone's changed my cambelt and fitted a crank key by mistake!!!!!! will this damage anything? its running o.k but im yitting myself driving it. Anyone know what will happen?

i think his mechanic has bodged in a woodruff key onto the crank pulley!

Yeh he has! thought that one should be there! Power dont feel the same now. Would you have a look fred? sort it out. Pay of course chap.
