Can I remove the seatbelt warning beep.

i understand where you're coming from, it's like "i'm just doing it".

Open up the seatbelt socket, there are 2 contacts which are separated when a belt is inserted to stop the beep/light towards the left, just bend them apart so they never touch. No beeps or light, blissfully happy life

It's quite simple I believe. Take the buckle apart and bend the contacts, this will fool the system into thinking the seatbelt is permanently fastened.

Its a case of removing the cover off the clip IIRC The buckle creates a circuit and turns the light off so itsa case of bending a terminal.

Hope that makes sense, I've no pics but have seen how its done, just havent got round to doing mine yet.

Ha, Ye when I jump in to get going Im reversing out my drive and get this crazy annoying beep, I just dont need to be told. Its not like I ever forget to put my belt on, its always on by the end of my street.
Just the kind of thing I hate about the way things are going. In a few years we'll be having beeps to tell us we need to take a break from driving. beeps to tell us were speeding, beeps to tell us we havn't tied our shoe laces, beeps to tell ........ You get the message. Beeps to tell us we get the message.

This is the offending connection in the seatbelt buckle, the after pic is with it bent back, it's a two minute job and you'll need a number 10 torx key.

nope no screws but then again this is a 97 scenic megane.

any ideas how to open it if there are no screw holes??

Just cut the wires going into the SIDE of the seat belt bucket.
