Can I test a stereo outside of the car?

I'm looking to sell an Alpine head unit but want to be sure it still works ok. Is there any way I can test it without connecting it up to a car?

If you can connect it to a 12v dc power source, and some speakers, then yes.

you could but it would be easier to fit it to a car . as then you can check everything
any specific reason why it cnt be tested in a car ?
