can i test my heater fan?

is there a way i can test my heater fan? i thought i had a problem with the resistor pack, but i connected pins 1 and 5 together to test heater on full, any nothing happenes.. so im guessing its something to do with the fan motor its self, but before forking out for a new 1, is there a way to test the old 1?

Just get some wires and link it direct to the battery.

managed to get the 2 pin plug out of the fan (i think) and tested with a multi meter, theres deffo power getting to it, i plugged it back in and the heater worked for a few seconds then packed up again.. so im guessing its almost defiantly the fan motor?

We removed a fan motor at the unit the other week, cleaned up the brushes and re-fitted. Sweet as a nut now.

I was under a car fitting a splitter at the time, but it came out in not too long.

yeah been hearing its an easy job, the resistor was easy enough to get out, but thats not the problem, nor is fuse's, so must be the motor

Where's the fuse for the heater fan? Mines packed in

There' 2 in the fuse box on passenger side of dashboard, on the side when you open the door, and a big 30w under the bonnet, all 3 of mine are fine though?

Well finally worked out how to get the fan out of the car, and fed 2 wire's to the battery and it still dont spin, so safe to say i need a new fan ????
