Can someone explain Bi-wirable speakers

  Cupra K1 & Clio 200

Hi,

Jus got some Mordaunt Short 902s and they are bi-wirable. I have a Yamaha amp to power these bad boys. But what is bi-wirable and does it affect the sound quality at all? Is it like when you purchase a subwoofer and you can get dual-voice coils etc? Any info is much appreciated. thanks!

bi-wireable just means that the mid/bass cone and tweeter need seperate channels on your amp(two pairs of cables going to each speaker rather than one)

makes it sound loads better (no bass to tweets, no highs to mid/bass)

i got this facility on my mordaunt short 908s in my home cinema setup, not on my amp so no use to me!!

I have just sat and thought about it and I guess its the same as having components in the car so you would either need an amp with built in crossovers or external crossovers!!
