Can someone explain to me the difference between Link aggregation and Ether Channel

AS title really, im not sure i understand the two correctly.

Is EtherChannel just a technology used to achieve Link Aggregation, like LACP?

e/ LACP is Layer 3 so i dont give a s**t about that. Just layer 2.

simple answer is that Etherchannel is Ciscos propriety version of LACP.
