Can you do me a favour next time you're out..

  200 Gordini
Please :D..

Will you lift off the throttle and let your revs die down from around 3/4k in second and the first gear.

I need to know if you get a kick/jump.

Now, i dont mean the juddering you get when the car is going to stall.

In my car it drops down to 1.5k and I get quite a kick before the car is anywhere near stalling.

Id just like to know if there is something wrong because ive never noticed it before a couple of weeks ago

Really appreciated if you could do this for me and report back.

Thanks

Well i notice the kick at like 1500~ rpm when on a cold engine... as if the idle is higher or something ?????? Usually happens when im slowing down to a junction or something when ive just started the car.

Thats it.. mines a nice shunt though, how bad is yours?

Mounts go/wear quite badly on these cars. Could be very well like stated above .

I changed mine because i noticed the jumping/jerking/kicking getting worse and i thought 1+1 = movement in engine worsening = engine mount wear.

(if your at all a little bit familiar with your own car + a bit technical minded you should feel/know this)
My car, 172 Cup, has had the mounts changed TWICE in 70K. So maybe you can relate this to your own mileage ?
Jerking/thumping/ play in the gear-stick/ ; all signs of the mounts being shot
