Just been reading all the reviews and its not really got any negative points so think i may just get it!

Im bored of having point and shoot with no manual controls but cant be arsed with carrying lenses so its the ideal set up! Then the misses will be happy as she can have my ixus!

Looks like a very decent camera, love the fact you can strap a massive flash on top for comedy out of proportion value. The manual controls should be good and you can shoot in RAW.

At the same time, I wouldn't rule out the S5 IS but depends on your needs, how much you want to use zoom for example vs how compact you want to be etc.

On camera labs video review they strap the flash on and it looks very funny... but good you can do it, and the camera has special settings for external flash unit. I have looked at the S5 but have decided on the G9 - so much I just ordered it lol
