cant get sunroof frame off

  t3 corolla 116bhp
hello all

i've been trying to fix a leak in my mk2 clio sunroof but having no joy because one of the 10mm securing bolts underneath the sunroof frame, will not come out.

it just keeps turning without actually unscrewing itself and i can't get it out.

has anyone had a similar problem and if so, how did they get around it? help appreciated as i am getting wetter

im not sure about your problem with the bolt . but mine leaked when i first got the car and i just took off the whole sunroof frame ..and then put sealant between the framework and have never had a problem since .

mine was doing the same mate, i couldnt take the whole frame out, i just removed the 3 bolts along the passenger side. water drains in a chanel in the front left corner, in heavy weather it overflows, rubish design as there is no wall to the chanel, i put sealent along it to form a wall and in the gap where the front and side of the frame meet. hopefully you will understand what i mean, it hasnt leaked since (fingers crossed)

unfortunately not mate as i didnt do it at the time and now the headliner is back in and i dont wont to take it out again as the sunvisior clip was a sod to get back in. if you take some pics then i can mark on them where i put sealant
