Cant get the in-car locking button to work - tried the usual 'hold' trick.

On my Mk2 Ph2 the interior car door lock button doesnt seem to work. I read on here that if you hold the button for 10 seconds it should re-trigger itself, but I'm having no suck luck.

Any suggestions?

Plugged in at the back of the unit?

Not had a look yet. Was hoping to avoid that but its looking more likely that I'll need to get into it.

Is it easiest to access by taking the headunit out?

If memory serves, you can just pop the part with the 3 switches out as one without touching the stereo.

yep just prise it off

Just yanked it off in the end. It was unplugged. Doh!

so the locking part goes into the back of your headunit does it?
