Can't 'stop' my K750i USB connection?

  Mk2 Golf GTI
As title, when i try to safely remove my K750i by stopping, a little message pops up saying:

"The device cannot be stopped right now. Try stopping again later"

It's doing my head in as i fucked up an old MP3 player bby not removing it safely. Any way around this without using a card reader? I'd rather not have to take the card out of the phone all the time as a couplke of mates have managed to break the mech that holds the card in

Is there definately nothing that is using the connection to your phone, make sure there's nothing accessing it and try again.

Try disabling the write back caching... basically follow this guide but instead of enabling, just disable it instead.

Means you don't have to 'stop' the device to unplug it, may take a fraction longer to copy files etc, but I've not seen any performance issues by disabling it

Just checked that out mole and it's already disabled so may be why i didn't need to stop it?

I'll try enabling it instead.

At the moment, if i just rip it out i cant access the memory card again unless i restart the PC
