Car Attracting Dust..... Cure?

  Up rocks
After washing my car i find that it takes no time at all to attract dust, dosnt really show up to well on photos but after a few miles quite a substantial layer of dust appears :dapprove:

This pic is after about 6 miles but gets alot worse after a few more.

Anything i can do to stop this?

For reference all i usually do is wash the car with Turtle Wax car shampoo and a Megs mitt, then dry it off with a Turtle Wax blade.

No idea, have thought the same myself. Maybe waxing would help the car resist it to a degree. Where's Rich when you need him?

Does make me feel like hosing it down again but if i did that i'd spend most of the day out there hosing the car, the neighbours already think i wash my cars too much as it is.

See now thats just silly :rasp:

It's just classic hatchback aerodynamics sucking dust and dirt onto the back of the car. Age old problem.

Well i'm not overly bothered by it, just wondered if it was a comman thing that had an easy fix. Maybe i'll polish the boot lid and rear window tomorrow and see if that helps as i have some Auto Glym polish and glass polish handy.

By selling the car. That way you wont see the dust. Its not possible to stop it sticking your car because its just the way it is. As someone said previously, its bad at this time of the year.

You can't win with a black car ! Having checked the weather and seeing no rain for a while I went at it for about 6 hours the other day. Now it is just covered in bloody dust !

I had exactly the same problem. Spent a good day cleaning, waxing etc...
Came out the next day and theres loads of pollen and dust stuck to it!

Wax seems to hold a static charge therefore attracts alot of dust . Even these so called antistatic quick detailers don't seem to do much from my personal experience .
