Car broker

in the middle of using motor provider.co.uk, currently the cheapest 172 sport - 11850, said it would be 2 weeks, but now 4 weeks overdue, they have blamed every problem under the sun i.e. customs holdups, lack of transporter facilities etc.. but they have promised it for friday, only the second call they have given me in the last 6 weeks, but at the end of the day, its nearly 3 grand under list, not an import, identical to dealer car bar the alarm which I can fit for 299, i believe the waits worth it, as according to the forum, people who have ordered from dealers have had equally as long waits.....

ukcarbroker is cheaper than all of them.

It depends on what you want really, From a broker you will be second owner but it will be a full uk car.

imports are cheap but you when you sell it you will only get import money.

Im not sure what would happen if you had a major problem with a broker bought car. It might be difficult rejecting it.

Whatever you do, phone the dealers first and ask if they will get anywhere near broker prices. I did and am getting a CUP with climate for £12k.

  not a clio anymore

Thanks for the info. Ill definetly add all these names to my research list.

I am confused about the "being the second owner". My clio was pre-registered, so I was the second owner, but from the broker I saw, nowhere it mentions this fact. Ill make sure I ask.

Im waiting for a Cup from New Car Discount.com. Ordered it during the middle of July...was told delivery would be mid-September...which then became the middle of October...which has now become early November!

The only reason Im aware of all this is because Ive contacted them...not once have they contacted me, unprompted, to say theres been a change in delivery dates. Had plenty of calls selling finance and GAP insurance though.

One thing I made sure of though...is that theyre going to honour the price they quoted me as a trade in for my Mondeo until delivery. So Im really not fussed about delayed delivery now...I can keep ragging the Ford until the Cup arrives...makes no difference to me at all!

Also with a broker, if you order through them today, they are not going to put in your order straight away. I think they have to order a lot of cars at once to get their discount.

youre right D-CUp, ukcarbroker is the cheapest of them all, as long as you dont mind paying 350pounds more than motorprovider are selling 172s, on the point of if you have major problems with the car, your warrenty is with renault for the first year , not the individual show room, so your comeback shouldnt be any different...

this was what they quoted me ..........
