Car Cleaning - General Info please

  Clio MK3 1.6 Dynamique
I dont really know if this is the right place to be asking this but I'm looking for some good car products, I have bought quite alot and tryed alot of things for cleaning/valeting but most of the things dont work that well or arnt worth the money.

I just got a new car last month which the new'ness is starting to fade away, cos its dirty and just doesnt look clean(if you know wot i mean) bought a pressure washer etc, so im looking to keep it clean and new, could anyone direct me to a store/website that sells good quality car cleaning things? I am looking for Tyre Black solution, Wax for washing and interior wax, all the things that keep your car clean, nice and looking new, Ideally I would like to keep my car as clean as it was in the showroom at the garage!

I have looked online and I did see alot of websites, but some things are quite expensive, like.. £20/25 each, and after forking out for a new car, thats the last thing I need :) so if anyone would be kind enough to point me in the direction for good quality products or care to mention a good product? :)

thanks guys

your in the wrong section but will give you some advice anyway.

First of all you need to read up on the correct method for cleaning a car. As you already have a pressure washer I would suggest looking to see if you can get a snowfoam attachment (if its a karcher or karcher fitmnt then you can). Firstly use that to get the most of the dirt off, then rinse. Then use the two bucket method (google that and it will bring up guides) to wash the car. I would use AutoGlym body shampoo as an affordable shampoo with a meguiars wash mit. Then dry the car. Then use AutoGlym Super Resin Polish, and seal with Extra Gloss Protection.

AutoGlym is 3 for the price of 2 in halfords, you'll also need some microfibre cloths available on here 6 for a tenner so about £60ish total outlay if you buy the Halfords Snowfoam attachment and you have a good starting point.

i think you can get better washmitts than the megs one. I think the sonus ones are better as there double sided. I personally just use this tesco cherry car wash stuff as i wash my car a lot it would be too expenisive to splash out on the top stuff everytime. Dont notice a huge difference with shampoos either. deffo get some AG Super resin though

The Autoglym Shampoo is one of there poorest products, better off trying something like the Meguiars Gold Class Wash from Halfords or Sonax Gloss Shampoo from your local Vauxhall Dealer.

Wash Mitts wise the grey lambswool mitts that Halfords sell are better than the Meguiars ones.

For the cash you can't go wrong with the other Autoglym products such as the Super Resin Polish and Extra Gloss Protection as wheel as some of there trim and tyre products,

Iv used many car washes and dont see a big difference in whichever i use. AG not bad (i find the water sheets off the car well) but £2.50 for a litre of tesco cherry stuff smells nice too you cant go wrong!

What do you reckon the best wash is for leaving as little water as possible on the car??

I rinse using AG Autogloss Rinse and sheet water off with an open hose so never have problems with any shampoo having water left on the car.

Trade only product, even without it on my daily hack water still does not cling when used with an open hose.
