Car coming out of gear

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
With all this snowy weather I'm driving around in 2nd a lot, and whenever going over rough ground it's knocking itself out of gear? Is this normal? It's only happening over snow/ice, thanks.

Could be gearbox mount. Rough ground cause engine to move more than usual.
I would assess all mounts, for tightness/wear

Could be the dogbone mount, basically the stabiliser for the gearbox. If its only started happening on icy/rough ground its maybe because of that.

New dogbone is around £25 quid, well it was around that when I changed mine on my old 1.2. Change that first and see if it still happens. Easy swap just get under the car, 2 bolts and its off.
