hi guys, i know this as been mentioned before somewhere, but i dont seem to have the right jack for my car, the one i have is flat at the top but i cant seem to find a flat jacking point, do i need to go to renault and get themto change it???
The jack should have a slot for the sill to fit into as far as i know and have seen, best speak to renault and see what they say, if it is wrong then they will change it for you.
When I jack my car up (ie with a proper car jack and not road side) I use a proper lifting jack with a flat head and a pump handle (cant remember the proper name for them) But when I jack my car up I always put the jack under the jack point and then place a sheet of thick wood ontop of the jack. Just to help spread the weight a bit, dont trust renaults body work that much, especailly on an old car.
