Car parts shopping list...

  Jap Box
Hi,

Ive started a list of items needed to get the PH2 back on the road, cars been sitting for 2 years now so im basically going by everything needs replacements basically.

Heres it so far can you tell me if im missing anything :)

Spark Plugs
Clutch Cable
Front hub (needed as current ones been pushed back 1 inch)
Handbreak cable
Front disks + pads
Rear drums + shoes
Underbody spray (Got rust in the bonnet catch hole, is this common? im worried it might spread)
4x New tyres
Getting cambelt done

Would I need anything to flush the engine or radiator etc?

Thanks

Take it for an MOT, they will tell you what it needs.

You dont need disks and pads, just because its been stood.

As for the hub being pushed back, more than likely to be a wishbone you need.

Given you dont know much about cars, are you going to be attmpting this yourself??

Its been sat for two years, I thought it would need them aftyer this long?

How much is a wishbone? Apparently car will pass MOT with hub being like it is, been pushed back 1 inch. But it will need replacement eventually.

No, GF's dad is a mechanic, he can do it for me if needed :)

Lesbian? Winner.

On a side note, If its had a big smack and the wheel is bent, then the track is going to be way out, and it wont sit on the brake tester properly. If he is a mechinc, surely you should be asking him what it needs??

Apart from the tyres and cambelt, I cant see it would need anything else you have listed, unless it needed them before hand

Think the smack was quite hard as it destroyed the one alloy wheel and set off the drivers seat airbag.

I can ask him what's needed but that involves him travelling up here etc and hes busy.

I think it needs new spark plugs, going to start it sometimes takes more than one attempt, might just bethe fuel being 2 years old though, apparently it loses volaticity?

Getting plugs just incase anyway and their cheap and will most likely need a replacement at some point.

Handbreak has been on for 2 years so I would also think that has stuck possibly?
