Car seems to rev when dipping clutch

I've noticed something lately that when coming up to junctions etc and i'm wanting to change gear the car will rev ever so slightly when dipping the clutch. Almost like it's being told to do so by the ecu?

Could this have anything to do with the fact that my clutch is on its way out? If not, what could the problem be?
