been having problems recently with my 182 when driving at any sort of speed Hitting bumps in the road the back end really really squirms an steering goes really light is a bit worrying, I've had k-tec coilovers fitted an car is quite low I've had new tyres all round an had tracking done, this didn't eliminate the prob :s !!! Any ideas guys ??

thanks Lee

Welcome to the world of Renosport. The back end on mine is squirmy over bumps. Has been from new.

^^ true. but the front doesn't go light too.

sounds like you have lowered the car to the point where the dampers aren't doing their job. i.e. not enough compression and rebound hense the car is scipping over bumps. has it only just started doing this though? or has it always done it with these?

oh and what tyres you use?

Mine is. Always has.
First time on the bhans was a bit of a sphincter moment, but I don't bat an eyelid now.
You're obviously not driving it hard enough. ;)

Well it always felt stable on the original shocks and Conti contacts. However it feels even better on H&R coilovers TBH.

....Oh and anyone that's ever followed me on a breakfast run, will vouch for how hard it's driven ;)

I had this problem with the car skipping when i had fitted the KTec coilovers and it turned out that as said above i had dropped it too much and it was skipping around when cornering and accelerating. Raised it up a bit and now its fine.

They prob only seen between 350-400 miles nothin major it mite be too low is maxed out tbh bit weird that it should happen now tho tbh

it is a bit strange. could be that the dampers have gone due to them being too low and the cold weather. If you drive hard on them they might have just packed in. Jack the car up and look for any oil seeping from them.

you dont seem to have listened to what has been said by Jonny in this post...
If your sitting on the bumpstops then you will be bottoming out, either raise the car or trim the bumpstops to give you some suspension travel back..
