I've got a problem with my Renault Clio which is has been getting steadily worse over the last few weeks, which is either to do with the immobiliser or the key fob.
Basically when I put the key in the ignition and try and start the engine, the immobiliser light in the middle of the dashboard flashes and the engine won't start, as in, it does absolutely nothing. After a couple of attempt the engine turns over but won't start.
I would say firstly you need to get a diagnostic done on the UCH to see what it's not seeing so that's going to mean taking it to a specialist not a jack of all trades garage. What with the car not even attempting to start could be a control relay issue or a fault within the UCH itself. It could also be nothing more than a bad earth and a combination of other things but i'd take it to someone that knows these cars and the electrical systems inside out.
