Car won’t start :-(

Ive got a clio 16v and last night I went to my girlfriends about a five mile trip to pick her up but when I went to start the car again at her house it would nt even try to turn over all the dash board lights came on but thats it only after an hour did it start, I thought it could be the immobilser (which is standard) bad earth starter has any one experienced this???? any suggestions????

try hitting the starter with something metal if it does it again.

Yeah, sounds like starters on its way out. Worth checking engine earth though...

i had that on me old escort 1.3l. its a dodgy connection i would have thought. as it cools something must come back into contact inside the starter. mine just seemed to clear up after a while.

My clio had a spell of none starting a few weeks back, got the AA man out and on the second inspection he noticed that my stereo was drawing 3amp constantly when off ..... it should have been 0.3amp

Needles to say I had a flat battery due to a faulty cd player !!
