Car wont idle

Hi guys,

Got a phase 172 engine, a couple of days ago, it wouldn't idle. Start it, and then cut out straight away. Would only start with throttle pressed a little and then as soon as you let off, it'll stall. This happens everytime when the car is cold. But even when it warm it'll struggle to keep idle.

Not sure what it is, throttle position sensor, idle control valve or battery :S

Any help would be appreciated guys, car just picks up random problems lol

Had exactly the same problem for several days, idle control valve has died. Tried another valve and it stopped stalling.
Wondering if there's replacement for Renault's expensive (>150$) OEM part 8200048850

I had the same problem, And a coil pack fixed it.

phase 2 owners ? Try cleaning the TDC sensor first maybe, cheap and often worthwhile
