car wont start!HELP!!!!

I went out to my car this morning and the battery was dead, event remote central locking wouldnt work,
tried to start my car and the rev counter was just flickering so phonewd renault and they said to try and start via jump leads,
so went to halfords pickd up some jump leads and got it going, after about 15mins of car running turnewd it off and wenbt in side, 2 hours later i went back out and now the car just wont start,
the lights on dash come on and the STOP and BATTERY light just stay on and the car wont tick,
what is happening to my clio?

Sounds like a screwed bettery to me I dont think its holding its charge.

Whack a new battery in there and see what happens.

will do, have also been told the immoberliser may have kicked in,

Try the spare key, see if that solves it. I had a similar problem and that was it.

tried the spare key, no joy, renault just said if i can get it to them they will look at it, they cant pick it up till late next week, w*****s

Could be the imobilisor receptor thing around the ignition. Again more details in the other section.
