Fitted in dec. Few thousand miles, 1 track day. Most journeys are mway, so not heavy use.

That is poor then, but as I said I've not heard of any others yet? What has Fred said? Are you going to contact them about it?

you notice anything before you took them out?

as said, I'll whip mine out on saturday and check them. they've been in since oct / nov and get given a bit of stick most days. been fine though.

bit suprised to be honest. hopefully just a faulty set.

Woopsie. That's not good at all. You should definitely contact CL if only just to make them aware. You never know, they may send you a replacement set. Mine took a proper hammering to the point where the piston side plates were bent, but even then the material didn't crumble (must have gone semi-soft). Boiled away the grease in the calliper pins and everything, yet never once faded. Mental pads.

Get onto them dude.

That the rc5+?

Not sure TBH. They were k-tec supplied. More than a year ago.

EDIT: Last spring time I guess, if it makes any difference.

I'm sure CL Brakes would like to test those pads if you still have them as that should not happen (certainly never seen it before from their pads). It may be a bad batch in which case you should get replacements..

Gosh, i have RC5, have done 4-5 trackdays and about 8000 miles and mine still look fine. maybe lost 1-2mm

Thats very strange. must be the new RC5+ that might have a bad batch.

My EBC green stuff broke up.

the others came out the same on the other side

well they came out the same box so is that surprising?
I've got a lot of customers running rc5+ pads under race conditions and none have had this problem. It could be an isolated incident so I look forward to the results when these are returned to CL Brakes

well it could've been caused by a sticky caliper (fairly common on clios) but in this instance its fairly obvious either they've been fitted wrong (impossible! LOL) or seriously cooked (unlikely as warren ain't a heavy braker, his cousin however could be an issue! LOL)

Did you fit these?

Indeed. Not much point in sending them back. Sure as hell wouldn't use a replacment pair, not worth the risk. And chances of a refund would be diddly squat.
