Card in the slot? FF's are keyless?
Mine does it when the fobs not in the car and you try and start but thats it.
Theres a slot in the dash for the card.
Weird, my FF Cup has keyless entry (like all FF) and is completely keyless, the card stays in my wallet and never comes out? Not talking about a 200T are you?
Not weird at all...yours also has a slot for the key, under the start button.
Where abouts? Under the centre console?
Have a look under there, you'll see it.
I recall it's on the opposite side to the start button...nearest the driver.
Ah I'll have a look, thanks mate.
Dont know how I never noticed that lol.
Should of noted that changed battery when it first did it...
Used Panasonic battery's assume they are ok. It's only occasional so not bothering me too much yet, if it persists or gets worse then I may have to look into this more.Make sure its a good make. cheap battery play up.
Isn't the card slot used for 'programming' things in the car?
Is that not the OBD port?
I think the card slot has something to do with activating/deactivating keyless entry
Il say no more then, thought I was looking at some electrical fault or dodjy card. I won't worry for now. Thanks allI think people that never use the slot eventually have problems with the car not detecting the card, once they started using the slot again it started working again the odd time they didnt use the slot.
Yes mate changed the battery's first of as I had read they usually cause the problems. It's due it's 5 yr service next year so ill get them to have a dig into the problem then. CheersLike ive said, start using thr slot for a period of time and then try without and see if it sorts it. On the other hand it maybe a problem with circuit board as there prone to break. Take it youve changed the batteries already
no nothing charges anything on renaults. thats only bmw etc
Is the card in your pocket with your phone?
Its the only time mine plays up!
