Cars first MOT!!

As above ive checked for wipers, brakes, (all) > headlights, emissions, reg plates are standard and tyres..

what else would i have to check? As my car has been.."highly" modified from standard lol

check all rubber seals an gaiters...

I know your is a mark 2 clio but on my mark 1 the wheel bearings needed replacing

Check that if you've a seat in its got a belt if you've no seat then take the belt out.

Cannot fail on a spare if its not fitted I've done this before just take it out and they cannot fail it on a unless spare.

Thats there problem often a garage will have a set of ramps for cars of any height after all how do you think Radicals etc are Mot'd

mine was to low to get on the brake rollers so he just took it round the block and was presently suprised how good they worked, dont worry dutty they'll send your car straight through,

i was absolytely papping myself about my first MOT esp with conversion not ahaving ABS etc guy did all the tests and he said " i admire how you look after your car and have nicely modified it and not crashed it into halfords, the clips loose on your ns cv boot (which i explained had been replaced a day ago) so im happy to pass your car knowing your will go and sort it out

Ye if they cannot RR test it they can test it in the real world as such.

their isnt any ABS light on though the SERV light is on but thats it i may have accidently taken a few l.e.d's off

ABS light should come on for the first few second before going off when you turn the key else its a failure to stop the bulbs being disconnected so cars can pass.

unless the car doesnt gave abs then a light shouldnt show? i have no abs so no light

Your car had abs when new though didn't it? Thats how its tested not as a car without unless your doner car is a Cup or you fiddled abpout wire the registration docs so the DVLA think your cars a Cup. I don't think you have as your on the lower tax band arn't you. The only other exception is a kit car SVA approved.

Yep however I belive he used a Cup doner system so he could have easily gone and gone his car registered as the original Cup just in a new bodyshell.

nope it isnt a cup engine is has air con pump we just didnt put the aux belt round it and the abs isnt hooked up its all a bunch of jiggery pokery under my bonnet! really need the cup alternator and bracked so i can drop the air con pump

So yea..it failed on one thing, rear left bearing! going in garage to get fixed then back for MOT on friday
