Cars in the park Newby Hall 2106

A few of the Yorkshire contingent visited Newby Hall today for the (Super)Cars in the park meeting. This was my first time at Newby and it's a very nice location. We had a full on summers day and that brought out lots of enthusiasts, 635 cars tickets had been sold at closing time on friday! Some really nice cars and some rare ones too, BMW M1 anyone? No wonder they call it M(mmmmmmm) division! We spent a bit of time by the exit as it turned into a drag strip. Seeing is one thing but hearing Ferraris, Porsches, V10 M5 etc leaving and on full attack is another! The white Stratos won though, if I had hair it would all have been stood on end:laughing:. Some smashing cars there, due to the nostalgia for me the fiesta rs turbo gets a :up:
but the Nissan gtr gets a :down:, can't remember the last time I saw an XJ220 in the flesh.

Wow, wasted. Wonder what it's value is. The 205 gti parked near us was a 2 owner car 100% original and insured value of £15k!

I'll be there. Chris is looking at doing a third meet in the summer. They are trying to get back to Harewood House for it. I'm not sure why that venue went bad, I know they didn't appreciate the rubber left behind on the drive but apparently there were other issues. I'm sad to say there was some litter where there had been Clio's when I finally got back to my car.
