CAS Coatings

  1.2 16v Clio
Im looking to get my 172 alloys powdercoated gloss white and a mate recommended me this place called CAS Coatings in Bradford, said they were an absolute bargain and spot on for the money.

Just wondered at what price id be looking at to get all four done, he said they work it out at a price per inch? Also, got a couple of scuffs around the rim on one of the wheels, think they would be able to do anything about this for an extra cost?

Any idea what ive got to do, do i have to leave my motor there or just take the wheels? Do i need to get tyres removed or will they do it there and then sort them out again once they have finished the job. But yeah, just wondering if any of you have used them and if they are actually as decent as my mate makes out.

Cheers!

When wheels get powdercoated the whole lot is coated and every bit of damage is removed before hand so you won't need to worry about that.

Hard to explain but if every bit of damage is removed then there would be a dip in the rim if u get me where its been kurbed by the previous owner for it to become smooth again, or will the powdercoat when applied make the damages areas become level with the normal rim if you get me?

Yeah i get that but i mean .. say the wheels have light kurbing on them, so theyre what 0.3 mil like indented on the rim, will they sand blast the rest of the rim down to this level? Or will the powdercoat fill it, otherwise the rim is always going to be uneven around the edge?

Ahh nvm i get u, theyre sandblasted down to the metal.. so the s**t thats damage will be gone. My bad ;)
